BJEI Australia [Beijing Energy International (Australia) Holding Pty Ltd] was established in 2021 to build and operate a significant portfolio of clean energy projects across Australia.

In 2025, BJEI Australia assumed management of sister company BJCE Australia’s [Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy (Australia) Holding Pty Ltd] assets, and a 40% stake in its 285MW of renewable energy capacity projects in NSW. Both companies are part of the Beijing Energy Holdings group.

BJEI Australia will draw on the experience and expertise of its Sydney-based team to build a portfolio of clean energy assets across Australia in support of Australia’s energy transition and renewable energy targets. 

Since BJCE′s first investment in Australia in 2014, it has prioritised care and respect for the communities and environments where its projects are located. BJEI Australia will maintain this approach as the country continues its transition to a clean energy future.

BJEI Australia is proud to be a signatory of the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments. The charter is a voluntary set of commitments to reflect our promise to develop and operate projects in a socially responsible way. The charter can be downloaded here.
